If you need to convert a translation memory from one format to another (e.g. trados to wordfast or vice versa) the department for Computational Linguistics at CU will more than likely be able to perform the task for you.
This service should help many freelance translators and translation agencies to be able to keep using the translation memories that they have build up over time, no matter what tm tool the use. It will also be easier to select vendors, which use another tools than yourself.

The newly established Vocational Training Center at CU (CU VTC) will shortly be offering certification in vocational activities. The initial aim is to offer certification to people with considerable amounts of practical experience in a vocation.
The certification can be sought by individuals independently of geographical location because the vetting of the trainee is done by video, as well as by sitting an online exam in the chosen field.
Once again CU is breaking the mould of educational habit. Links to the offered certifications will be added shortly.
